Weekly outdoor-for-now hula hooping classes for adults at St Hilda’s Church, Warley. Every Saturday, weather permitting!
Rachel has taught hula hooping professionally since 2014, and has taught all over the country, appearing on Channel 5, the BBC, Children in Need and CBeebies! Rachel has taught thousands of people of all ages to hula hoop – it’s brilliant for helping you feel better in yourself, getting fitter and stronger, and feeling happier. Hula hooping puts a huge smile on your face!
Booking in advance is essential so that we can monitor the number of people attending. All hoops are provided – when you have booked on we will bring you an adult beginner hoop and a lightweight hoop that you will use for the session.
Hula hooping improves fitness, motor skills, balance, flexibility, self-confidence and general happiness levels. We hoop around our waists, hands and arms which builds core strength, muscle, and tones. We learn fancy circus tricks that will challenge you, build hand eye co-ordination, and work the brain!
Classes normally cost £6 but any donation is gratefully received to allow these classes to continue – we are grateful to The Arnold Clark Community Fund to allow us to offer these classes for 12 weeks on a Pay As You Feel Basis. Any donations during this time will go towards continuing the classes after the 12 weeks are up, and subsidising classes for people who are in financial hardship.
All hoops are provided. We will provide each attendee with a hula hoop for the duration of the class, that only they will use. You can also buy a hoop if you would like one to keep, they are available to buy as an option when you buy your ticket to the class.
All hoops are disinfected and quarantined between sessions and before the class starts. Wipes and hand gel are available for use at each class.
The classes are held behind the church in the car park or on the grass, away from the road for privacy.
